Our main challenge is to meet the needs of an increasingly specialized agriculture, developing products in a sustainable way and with full social and environmental responsibility.
Efficient and sustainable products must come from equally efficient and sustainable production. Our production processes are based on the use of renewable raw materials, as well as the use of by-products from other production chains.
Our R&D center is committed to seeking biotechnological solutions that allow us to obtain bioactive substances and compounds to nourish the soil and plants, in order to promote healthy agriculture in harmony with the environment.
Therefore, in addition to reducing the environmental impact of each product, we seek to be sustainable in all processes and be aligned with the modern concept of the circular economy.
We reached the milestone of 400,000 tons of industrial by-products received and transformed into high-performance organic and organomineral fertilizers for use in agriculture.
Our fertilizers, the result of extensive research and technology, do not harm the environment and improve the chemical and physical quality of the soil.
By doing so, we increase crop productivity and contribute to feeding the planet in a sustainable way.
See the results for the environment in the graph:
of industry by-products were recycled
of fertilized crops and thousands of tons of sustainably produced food
of preserved forests
of CO2 sequestered from the atmosphere and fixed in the soil
The UN created the Sustainable Development Goals that seek global adherence to end poverty, protect the environment and climate, and ensure that people everywhere can enjoy peace and prosperity.
There are 17 ambitious and interconnected goals that address the main development challenges faced by people in Brazil and around the world.
Learn about ILSA Brasil's attitudes, practices and efforts, which are connected to the UN's global goals, in the search for sustainable development for current and future generations.
We use by-products from the leather and footwear industry as raw materials to manufacture the organic matrix of all our fertilizers. In this way, we avoid significant environmental liabilities and stimulate the circular economy.
All crops and forests planted with ILSA fertilizers contribute to the sequestration of carbon from the atmosphere, fixing it back in the soil.
Producing 1 kg of nitrogen with our technologies uses 50% less energy than producing 1 kg of mineral nitrogen.
Our organic fertilizers protect the soil from nitrate contamination, as the slow release of N (mediated by soil microbiology) means that this element is fully utilized by plants throughout their production cycle. This prevents leaching into groundwater.
Our daily work in the field brings quality information to more than 5,000 people, contributing to increased production and income in the field. 20 agronomists and agricultural technicians in the field, working to increase production and income in the field.
By promoting sustainable agricultural practices, we contribute to the conservation of soils, natural resources and the increase of soil biodiversity.
Together with other industries in the sector, we founded the Organic Fertilizer Industry Association. The association works to promote low-impact industrial processes and to value sustainable agriculture. To learn more, visit http://www.assifertors.com.br
Through the ILSA Solidária and ILSA Sustentável programs, we contribute to the environmental education of children and adolescents from several municipal schools in the vicinity of our units. In addition to the work in schools, we participate in the ARBORIZAR project (planting native trees in urban areas of cities) and campaigns for clothing, Children's Day, and Christmas. This is voluntary work that our employees carry out in conjunction with city governments and organizations.
Green Seal is an Environmental Certificate, an eco-label that aims to attest to sustainable, regenerative quality and good practices developed in favor of life and the Environment.
This Green Seal is of utmost importance in
resulting from environmental impacts caused by human action, serving as a warning to consumers who are increasingly informed by the media about conservation, regeneration and environmental degradation.
Perfil Energia has been in the energy market for over 18 years, serving customers from a wide range of Brazilian regions. Through its program
SUSTAINABLE PROFILE certifies organizations by accounting for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions regulated by the Kyoto Protocol that will no longer be emitted by the client who adheres to the free contracting environment (ACL).

ILSA BRASIL aims to transform the way we preserve and feed the planet, seeking to develop our products in a sustainable way, contributing to the healthy growth of the market in which we operate. In this way, we have joined the SUSTAINABLE PROFILE PROGRAM, which allows us to meet two sustainable development goals established by the UN:
7 – Clean and affordable energy
11 – Sustainable cities and communities
12 – Responsible consumption and production
13 – Action against global climate change
In 20223, with the purchase of energy in the Free Contracting Environment, originating from renewable sources, we stopped emitting:
56,317 t of CO², the equivalent of 2,559 trees planted
